Browser - Activities : Resource Policy

Different activity resources need different rules. Resource Policy lets you write policy text for each Activity Resource Type on its own, so each resource type carries its own fine print.

Where to find it

1. Open Settings using the gear at the bottom of the left navigation.
2. Select Activity Center, then the Activity Resource Type tab.
3. On the resource type's row, open the action menu and select Resource Policy.

The row's action menu offers Edit, Resource Policy, and Delete. Resource Policy is the one that opens the policy editor.

Writing the policy

The editor is a rich text box. You can bold and underline, add bulleted or numbered lists, insert links, and embed an image or a video. If the resource type already has a policy, it loads in the editor so you are editing rather than starting over.

Write it in plain language: arrival time, what to bring, what happens if someone is late. When you are done, click Save, or use Cancel to close without changing anything.

Common Questions

I have several resource types. Do I need a policy for each?

Each resource type has its own policy, so a rule that only applies to simulators belongs on the simulator resource type, not on all of them.

I opened the editor and closed it. Did anything change?

Not if you used Cancel. Cancel closes the editor without saving.
