Browser - Events : Confirmation Status

Marking an event as Proposed, Tentative, or Confirmed so the calendar shows what is really booked

Events teams hold dates. A prospect wants a Saturday in June, a second couple is asking about the same weekend, and nothing is signed yet. Confirmation Status keeps that honest on the calendar: an event can be Proposed, Tentative, or Confirmed, and the calendar legend calls out the ones that are not locked in.

Setting the status
  1. Click Events in the left navigation and open the event.
  2. On the Event Details tab, choose a value in the Confirmation Status dropdown: Proposed, Tentative, or Confirmed.
  3. Save the event.

Use Proposed while a date is only being discussed, Tentative once it is held but not signed, and Confirmed when the booking is final.

Reading the calendar

On the Event Calendar, the legend in the top right of the header lists ★ Proposed Events and ★ Tentative Events, so you can identify which events are still held rather than booked before you promise the space to anyone else.

Common Questions

Does the status change anything on the event itself?

It is a label for your pipeline: it tells your team where the booking stands and lets the calendar show it.

When should an event move to Confirmed?

Whenever your facility treats the booking as final, typically when the contract is signed or the deposit is in. Keep the rule consistent so the calendar means the same thing to everyone on the team.
