Browser - Printers : Set Up Club Caddie Default Printers For Browser

Article Contents: This article shows you how to create a Club Caddie desktop shortcut that auto-prints receipts without print preview and removes browser headers/footers.



Prerequisites/Notes:

  • You need access to the computer’s Desktop and shortcut Properties (Windows user permissions).

  • This setup is intended for a kiosk-style workstation where receipts should print immediately.

 





Step-by-Step:

Step 1: Open your browser and go to your Club Caddie login screen. Click in the address bar, then copy the full login URL.



Step 2: Open Notepad (or another basic text editor) and paste/type the following line, replacing the URL inside the quotes with your copied Club Caddie login URL:
--kiosk-printing "YOUR_LOGIN_URL"
Leave Notepad open so you can copy this text in a later step.



Step 3: In your Club Caddie browser tab, click the browser Menu (three dots ⋮) in the top-right, then select Print. In the print preview, expand More settings, uncheck Headers and footers, then click Save (this stores the setting for future prints).


Step 4: Click the browser Menu (⋮) again, then select Cast, save and share > Create shortcut. Name the shortcut Club Caddie Kiosk, click Create, then close all browser windows completely.




Step 5: On your Desktop, right-click the new Club Caddie Kiosk shortcut and select Properties. On the Shortcut tab, click into the Target field, go to the very end of the line, add one space, then paste the Notepad text from Step 2.


Step 6: Click Apply, then OK to save the shortcut changes.


Step 7: Double-click the Club Caddie Kiosk shortcut to launch Club Caddie. Log in, run a small test transaction, then choose Print Customer Receipt to confirm the receipt prints immediately (without a preview window).




Example Scenario:
A pro shop team has a dedicated POS computer that prints customer receipts all day. They create the Club Caddie Kiosk shortcut so staff can print receipts with one click and avoid the extra print preview screen. They also turn off browser headers and footers so receipts don’t show date/time stamps or page URLs. After a test transaction confirms auto-print is working, the workstation is ready for daily use.
