# Browser - Sales: Filtering by Payment Method

## Narrow your sales history down to how customers paid

##### **Overview**

The **Sales** screen can narrow the order list to one payment method, such as cash, one card processor, or a membership account. Use it when you need to check one kind of payment, for example the cash orders from last Friday. It works with the other filters in the same bar, so you can combine it with a date range.

##### **Filter orders by payment method**

1. Click **Sales** in the main navigation.
2. In the filter bar, click the payment method dropdown. It starts on **All Payment Methods**.

3. Choose the method you want. The list includes: 
     - **Membership Payment**
     - **Braintree Payment**
     - **BluePay Payment**
     - **Cash Payment**
     - **AuthorizeNet Payment**
     - **Check Payment**
     - **Credit Voucher Payment**
     - **Basys Payment**
     - **FirstPay Payment**
     - **Loyalty Payment**
     - **Sound Payments Payment**
     - **POSLink Payment**
     - **Card Connect Payment**
     - **Clover Connect Payment**
     - **Multiple**

If your course set up its own payment types, they appear at the end of the list with **Payment** after the name.

1. Click **Search**. The list shows the orders paid with that method. It can also include orders paid with more than one method, which show **multiple** in the **Payment Type** column.

2. To go back to all orders, click **Clear**. It resets this dropdown and every other filter in the bar.

##### **Common Questions**

**What does Multiple mean?**

**Multiple** shows the orders that were paid with more than one payment method.

**Can I use this filter with the date range?**

Yes. The search box, date range, and every dropdown in the bar apply together when you click **Search**.

**Which methods does the dropdown show?**

The full standard list, whether or not your course uses each one, then your course's own payment types.
