Build a lower late day rate that staff only see on afternoon tee times

Overview

A twilight rate is your normal round at a lower price later in the day, for example $25 for tee times from 3:00 PM. The rate's Start time and End Time decide which tee times offer it, so staff only see the twilight rate on late day tee times. The quickest way to build one is to copy your 18 hole walking rate and change the copy.

If anything comes out wrong, open the rate and edit it.

Before you start

You need a twilight green fee item in your inventory, priced at your twilight rate. The rate is linked to it in step 8 below.

Build the twilight rate
  1. Go to Settings and open RACK Rate Management.
  2. Click the ⋮ menu on your 18 hole walking rate and choose Copy. Club Caddie saves the copy straight away. Click OK on the Success! message.
  3. A new row appears for the copy. Click its ⋮ menu and choose Edit.
  4. Change Rack Name to something staff will recognize, such as Twilight 18, and set Rate($) to your twilight price.
  5. Set Start time to when twilight begins, such as 3:00 PM. Leave End Time at your last tee time, such as 7:00 PM. Staff only see this rate on tee times inside that window.
  6. The copy keeps the original rate's Booking Window and dates, so it can still be booked ahead. Check them, then click Next.
  7. On BUILD GREEN FEE PACKAGE, the copy brought along your full price green fee. Click REMOVE on it. It is removed at once, with no confirmation, but nothing is saved until you click Save.
  8. In Item Search, type twilight and pick your twilight green fee. Click ADD ITEM. It now appears under BUNDLED ITEMS.
  9. Click Save. The message Update Success ! confirms it.
Check it on the tee sheet

Open the Tee Sheet and click a morning tee time. The twilight rate is not in the rate list. Now click a tee time after your Start time, such as 4:00 PM. The twilight rate is there, and picking it prices the golfer at your twilight price.

Common Questions

Which field makes it a twilight rate: Start Date or Start time?

Start time. It decides which tee times offer the rate. Start Date decides which days.

How do I change when twilight starts?

Open the rate with Edit and check Start time. Then click Next and Save. Changes on page one only save after Save on page two.

Where do I set the twilight price?

In two places, both in Edit: Rate($) on page one, and on page two your twilight green fee under BUNDLED ITEMS in place of the full price one. Then Save.

How far ahead can staff book the twilight rate?

Booking Window decides that. At 0, a rate only shows on the tee sheet for the day itself. Set it to how many days ahead your staff take bookings, then Next and Save.
