[Events](https://support.clubcaddie.com/browser?hsLang=en#events) October 5, 2026 # Browser - Venue Manager: Overview ## See every bookable space on one calendar, and set up the venues it shows ##### **Overview** **Venue Manager** is the calendar for the spaces you rent or reserve at your facility, such as a banquet hall, a lounge or a pool. It shows your spaces in **Day**, **Week**, **Month** and **Timeline** views, so you can see all your spaces in one place. The spaces come from your setup under **Settings → Venue Center**: you add an **Event Location** (the broad area, like the clubhouse), then the **Event Venues** (the individual rooms) inside it. ##### **Check a space on the calendar** 1. Click **Venue Manager** in the left navigation. Look at the **venue chips** across the top. There is one for each Event Location that has at least one venue. Click a chip to hide that location's spaces, and click it again to bring them back. At least one chip stays on. 3. Pick a view with the buttons above the schedule: - **Day** shows your spaces as columns, with time running down the side. - **Week** and **Month** widen the range. - **Timeline** gives each space its own lane, with time running across. 4. To move to a different date, click the arrows beside the date. On **Day** view, each click moves one day. To jump to a specific date, click the calendar button beside the date. On **Day** view, each space is broken out on 30 minute time slots. ##### **Add an event location** 1. Click the **Settings** gear icon at the bottom of the left navigation. 2. In the Settings menu, click **Venue Center**. 3. Click the **Location** tab. 4. Click **ADD**. Type the name of the area, such as Clubhouse. 6. Click **SAVE**. A **Success!** message appears and the location shows in the list. ##### **Add an event venue** 1. In **Venue Center**, click the **Venues** tab. 2. Click **Add Event Venue**. Type a **Venue Name**. This one is required. 4. Choose an **Event Location** from the list. This one is required too. A location you just added appears in the list without reloading the page. 5. Enter the **Venue Set Up Minutes** and **Venue Tear Down Minutes**. Click **Save**. A success message appears and the venue shows in the list with its location and minutes. ##### **Change or remove a venue or location** 1. On the **Venues** tab, find the venue's row and click the **⋮** icon in the **Action** column. 2. Click **View/Edit** to change it, then click **Save**. Or click **Delete**, then click **Yes** when it asks **Are You Sure?** 3. On the **Location** tab, the same **⋮** menu has **View/Edit** and **Delete**. **View/Edit** turns the row into a text box you can save or cancel. ##### **Common Questions** **What is the difference between an Event Location and an Event Venue?** An Event Location is the broad area, such as the clubhouse or the pool. An Event Venue is a specific space inside it, such as Banquet Hall Room B. Every venue has to belong to a location, which is why **Event Location** is required when you add one. **Why does my new location not show up on the calendar?** The calendar shows a chip for a location once it has at least one venue. Add a venue to the location and its chip appears. **Can I search for a venue by name?** No. Neither the **Venues** tab nor the **Location** tab has a search box. Click the **Refresh** icon, which has no text label, to reload the list. **What do Venue Set Up Minutes and Venue Tear Down Minutes do?** They save the default prep and cleanup time for the venue, and they show as columns in the Venues list. Treat them as your planning numbers, and check the time slots on the calendar when you schedule. **How do I see several spaces side by side?** Use **Day** view, which shows each space as a column, or **Timeline** view, which gives each space its own lane with time running across.
