Clover Connect OAuth v2 configuration

This article step-by-step guidance for configuring oauth 2.0 with clover connect to securely authorize and integrate the club's system with clover's payment platform. It ensures users can properly set up authentication, retrieve and apply authorization codes, and verify device connectivity. The article also helps troubleshoot common issues related to failed authentication or incorrect credentials.

Step By Step:

 
Step 1: First, we need to configure the Clover Connect club account. Then, click on the Save button to save the club account settings.

Step 2: Need to add Client Secret and Code 
Client Secret for Production : ff568d3d-bd69-4b4f-cae9-181238f93e89 

Client Secret: Client Secret or App Secret is a secret key that Clover assigns to your application.

Code: Unique random string that the app creates for every authorization request. 


Step 3: Process to Get OAuth 2.0 code:
Click on the “Get OAuth 2.0 code” button. After clicking on this button, it will redirect to the Clover portal. 

Step 4: Log in with valid Credentials. After the redirect, the URL returns the merchant to the Club Caddie application. 




Step 5: We will get the authorization code from the URL.

Copy that code and add it to the Clover Connect Configuration, and click on the 
“Save” button to save the setting.



 
Step 6: Click on the Device Status button to check if it is connected or not 
If connected, then log out and log in once. Now we are done with the Clover OAuth 
V2 Configuration.  

Sometimes, while you are checking the Device status, we will get 
Unauthorized or failed to validate the authentication code error message.    
Check the credentials and save the setting properly, or try again with the OAuth 
Code process.
