Creating a Credit Book Holding Account for an Event

Creating the Holding Account
Step 1: Select the Vouchers tab along the top menu. Then, click on Credit Book Vouchers on the left hand side menu, followed by the Holding Account tab, then Add.




Step 2: 
The voucher creation screen will open.
(1) Select the expiration date if you want it to expire by a certain date. If not, leave this blank.
(2) Add any notes that you want to attach to this account.
(3) To specify a custom name for the holding account you'll need to select Specify then input the desired holding account name. - This should typically be the name of the event.
(4) Make sure all departments are on the left hand side under Available Departments.
(5) Select ADD to finalize the creation.



You can then take deposits from customers into this created holding account instead of through Event Deposit.

Step-By-Step:

Step 1: Instead of taking deposits for your event through the event module, you will be entering deposits into your holding account. Navigate to the Register, then click on Tools.



Step 2: Under the Credit Books section, click on Credit Book Deposit.



Step 3: After clicking the credit book deposit the system will require you to select the credit book holding account you'll be depositing to and the deposit amount.




Step 4: Clicking Add will create a voucher deposit line item in the register and it can subsequently be rung in similar to any other transaction.



Step 5: To make a payment for your event, click on Events, then search and click on your event to bring up the details for the event. 



Step 6:
Under the Event Builder tab, click on Payment, then select Final Payment. This will take you to the register.





Step 7: Select Pay, and then click Gift Card/Credit Voucher.



Step 8: Search for your holding account, and select Ok. 



With a left over amount in the holding account, this can be used to purchase gift cards and prizes for your golfers.
