Events - Item Level Service Charges

Article Contents:

This article explains how to apply item-level service charges, allowing different service charges (e.g., gratuity) to be assigned to individual items, such as food and alcohol, rather than applying a single charge at the event level.

Step-By-Step:

Step 1: Navigate to the Events module along the top row. Then, click on the event you want to edit.

Step 2: Add the items to the order (e.g., food, alcohol) under the Menu tab.

Step 3: Then, navigate to the Event Details tab and check the box Use Item Level Service Fee and Tax. Click Save.

Example:
An individual alcohol item has a 15% service charge, but an individual food item has a 20% charge. Now, you can assign different service charges to each item. If you added a 20% service charge for food and a 15% service charge for alcohol, each item will reflect its specific charge automatically.

Any item that does not have an individual service charge would be subject to receiving the overall event service charge listed under the event details page.
