This article provides step-by-step instructions on adjusting or reversing a vendor receipt. Due to the management system's design that operates on a transaction-by-transaction basis, an adjustment to a vendor receipt necessitates a preliminary reversal. This ensures there's a record of items being added and subsequently removed from the inventory.
Step-By-Step:
Step 1: Navigate to the Settings module (1) and proceed to the Inventory Center (2) on the left-hand navigation menu.
Step 2: In the example provided below, we've accessed a vendor receipt that was entered in error, indicating that we received Pro V1 sleeves for $1.
Step 3: To reverse the vendor invoice, initiate a new vendor receipt by clicking "Receive Inventory" (1). Following this, search for and include the items that need an adjustment or void (2).
Step 4: Enter the received quantity (1) and the unit cost (2) that you intend to reverse. For instance, I am rectifying an entry of 50 Pro V1 sleeves that were registered at a unit cost of $1.00. After verifying your input details, click "Submit" (3) to finalize the change.
Step 5: This action will produce a new vendor receipt, which you can view by clicking "View" (1) next to the newly created entry.
