This article contains step-by-step instructions on how to add inventory through the register -> tools tab.
Step-By-Step:
Step 1: Select
the "register" module from the top module navigation
menu and then click on the "tools" tab.
Step 2: Click on the "add inventory" button. The system will then open the inventory profile screen where you can fill out the respective fields.
Step 3:
Fill in the following fields in the inventory profile window:
Department: Select the department to add the item to from the drop-down selection of departments. (Required)
Sub Department: Select the sub-department to add the item to the respective sub-department. (Required)
Category: Select the category in which to add the item from the drop-down menu of available categories. (Required)
Manufacturer: Fill in the manufacturer's title/name if it’s a 3rd party vendor.
Type: Select inventory/SERV/combo from the drop-down menu. (Required)
Item: Fill in the title/name of what you'd like the item to be named. (Required)
Total Item Stock: Fill in the total item stock of what you have on hand. (Required)
Bar Code: A bar code that is pre-labeled on the item can be scanned into the system. A barcode for non-labeled items can be generated using the software by clicking on "Generate Barcode"
PLU Code: (If required)
Item Cost: Fill in the unit cost of what it costs you to purchase the item. (Required)
Sale Price: Fill in the selling price for the item. The sales price that is input will be exclusive of tax prices. Taxes will be added on top as per the product and tax policies. (Required)
Floor Price: This is an amount that should be input to control what the item can be sold for. The item cannot be sold for less that the amount input into the floor price. (Required)
Tax Group: Select the Tax Group from the drop-down if tax is applicable for this particular item. (Required)
Description: A description of the product can be added if needed.
Vendor: If the product is procured from a specific vendor, a vendor can be selected from the vendor drop-down.
Step 4: Once all of the information has been filled in, click on the "save" button. The item will be added to the inventory and can be found under the respective department and sub-department in which you've assigned the item too.
