Settings – Day End Closing

This article contains step-by-step instructions for the process of completing Day End Closing. After completion, the terminal will be closed for the effective date.

Step-By-Step:

Step 1:   Click on the Gear Wheel icon on the top right corner of the screen.


Step 2:   Click on the Day End Closing button from the left menu.



Step 3: Fill in the following details under Day End Closing:

  1. Closing Date: Select the closing date from the drop-down calendar. 
  2. Terminal Location: Select the terminal location from the drop-down.
  3. Terminal: Select the terminal from the drop-down. 
  4. Closer: Choose the name of the employee from the drop-down. 
  5. Starting Balance: Fill in the opening/starting register balance
  6. Note: Any specific notes you would like to add for this day end closing.



Step 4:  Click on Enter Cash Amount. The system will open a CASH AMOUNT window. The window allows for the input of different bills and coins the cashier has collected throughout the day. Once entered, the system will auto calculate and display the TOTAL CASH. To count again, click on Reset and re-enter the information. To submit the cash total, click on SAVE. The system will update the Amount next to the cash Payment Type.




Step 5: Click on Enter Check Amount. The system will open a CHECK AMOUNT window. The window allows for check amount input where multiple checks can be input. Enter the check amount and click on Add Check Amount. If a check amount is entered accidentally, the Delete button can be used to remove the erroneous check. Once all the check amounts collected have been added, click on Save. The system will update the Amount next to the check Payment Type.




Step 6: Once all information from above has been entered, click on the Close Day button. The system will generate a pop-up to confirm the closing of the day. Click No to go back and re-access. Clicking on Yes the terminal will be closed for the effective date. Reference to accessing this day end close can be found under the Reports topic.
