Printing : Receipt Cut Off When Printing from the Browser Version

Why this happens: When you print receipts from a browser, the browser's page layout settings often force standard margins or scale the web page incorrectly. The Club Caddie desktop application bypasses the browser engine and talks directly to your printer driver, using custom paper sizes designed for thermal receipt printers — which is why receipts print normally from the desktop app but can get cut off from the browser version. Adjusting the browser's print settings below will resolve the issue.

Step-by-Step:

Step 1: Print your receipt as you normally would from the browser version of Club Caddie. When the Chrome print window opens, click on "More settings" to expand the full list of print options.

Step 2: Find the "Scale" setting. Change it from "Default" to "Custom" and enter a smaller percentage (like 70% or 80%), or select "Fit to printable area". This shrinks the receipt so the full width fits on the paper instead of getting cut off on the side.

Step 3: Set "Margins" to "None" or "Minimum". This stops Chrome from forcing standard page margins onto the narrow receipt paper.

Step 4: Under "Options", uncheck "Headers and footers". This removes the date, page title, and URL text that Chrome adds to the top and bottom of the printout.

Step 5: Click "Print". The receipt will now print at the correct size without being cut off. Chrome remembers these settings for future prints, so you should only need to set this up once per computer.

Note: If receipts still print cut off after adjusting these settings, verify the correct receipt printer is selected in the "Destination" dropdown and that the paper size matches your receipt printer's roll width. The desktop application will always print receipts normally regardless of these settings, since it does not use the browser's print engine.
