F&B App: Day End Closing
Article Contents: This article explains how to complete a Day End Closing in the F&B app, including entering check and cash totals, and how to edit a closing after it’s completed.
Step-by-Step:
Step 1: In the F&B app, select Menu in the bottom left corner, then under Tools, select Day End Closing.
Step 2: Tap Day End Closing to open the Day End Closing window.
Step 3: In the Day End Closing section, fill in the following:
-
Closing Date: Tap the date field and select the correct date.
-
Closer: Tap the dropdown and select the employee name.
-
Starting Balance: Enter the opening amount that was already in the register.
-
Note: Enter any notes you want saved with this closing.

Step 4: If you collected check payments, tap Enter Check Amount. In the pop-up, enter each check amount and tap Add Check Amount after each one. If you added one by mistake, tap Delete next to that check, then tap Save to update the totals.
Step 5: Tap Enter Cash Amount. In the pop-up, enter the counts for each bill and coin type collected. The app will calculate Total Cash automatically. Tap Reset if you need to recount, then tap Save to update the totals.
Step 6: Review the payment totals on the Day End Closing screen to confirm they match what you collected.
Step 7: Tap Close Day. When prompted, tap Yes to confirm and close the day on that terminal. (Tap No if you need to go back and adjust totals.)

Example Scenario:
After the kitchen closes, the shift lead opens the F&B app and goes to Register > Tools > Day End Closing. They select today’s date, choose their name as the closer, and enter the starting balance from the drawer. They add two check amounts from the day’s payments, then count the cash by bills and coins and save the total. After confirming the totals look right, they tap Close Day to finish the closeout for that terminal. The next morning, a manager corrects a check entry by going to Settings > Day End Closing, selecting that date, updating the amount, and saving.
