How to add preparation instructions to an order item

To add preparation instructions to a menu item, select the item on the registration tab, open the Edit order menu item pop-up, and type your notes in the Note field before clicking Save. Follow the steps below.

  1. Navigate to the Registration tab in the point-of-sale interface.
  2. Select the item and click the pencil icon to the left of the item title.
  3. In the Edit order menu item pop-up window, type your preparation instructions or comments in the Note field — for example: steak medium rare, add blue cheese only.
  4. Click Save.

 

 

Step 2: An EDIT ORDER MENU ITEM pop-up window will open where the details of the items can be modified. To add preparation instructions to an item and to add specific comments and notes, type in the section "Note" - for example: steak medium rare, add blue cheese only, etc. and click on Save.
